Rock Creek Country Club - 9-Hole Regulation Golf Course

Rock Creek Country Club, established 1919, is a private, 9-hole regulation golf course and social club in Burlington, Kansas. The course and club house are located on 16th Street, northwest of downtown Burlington.

Members and their guests enjoy open play as well as league play and family outing activities April through October on this well-maintained and more challenging than you might think, 47-square acre course.

Members and guests are welcome to walk or cart their way around the course flanked by Rock Creek and featuring rolling greens, mature trees, and water hazards that make for challenging play. 

Guests must register and be accompanied by a member in good standing. Guest greens fees: $5 per 9 holes.  Membership options include family, single, youth, and Out-of-County. Visit our Membership Info page for details.

Men's League

Get a partner and play afternoon or evening league Tuesdays from April to September. Afternoon tee off 1 pm; evening tee off 4 p.m. with a deadline of 6:15 pm start. Course closes for tourney play at 1 p.m. on Tuesdays. 

The season ends with a steak dinner in September. Fees required. Men's League teams, schedule, and weekly standings will be posted to the website as available.

Women's League

Scramble format on Wednesdays from April to September. Bring your clubs and join the fun for an evening with friends or make new friends! 

Women's League fees are $10 per year, plus $1 each time you play (if you don't play, you don't pay).  Tee off at 6:00 p.m., course closes to open play at 5:30 p.m.  Draw for partners, best-ball, scramble format.

Partner Scrambles & Scotch-Fouresomes

Friday evenings: Fun, social activity on Fridays from May through September. Meet at the club house; tee off 6 p.m. Course remains open but Scramble play has hole priority for shotgun start. $1 to play (for the kitty). Open to singles and couples.

Third Sunday of the month:  Members are invited and encouraged to participate in Scotch Foursome scramble on the third Sunday of each month (see schedule). Register day of scramble at club house. 2 p.m. tee-off time. $1 to play (for the kitty). Open to singles and couples.

Golf Tournaments
Rock Creek is home to annually held member Championship, Ladies' Invitational, Southeast Kansas Seniors, Burlington High School Invitational, and First Tee events.  The club also hosts open "course improvement" tourneys to raise funds for maintaining the course.

Some area organizations host annual public fund-raiser events as well as some family outings.  Green fees are mandatory for all participants (including members), and vary by event.  Check the calendar on the Home page for upcoming events!

Rock Creek Club Championship

Championship Tournament is open to all Rock Creek members (male and female). Divisions include:
  • Scratch (18 holes)
  • Handicap (18 holes)
  • Senior - 65+ (handicapped, 9 holes) 

Tourney play includes rounds over three days: Saturday, Sunday, and the following Saturday.

Women's League Hosted Tourneys

The Women's League organizes four tourneys each year with the June invitational highlighting the season.  Breakfast, golf, luncheon, and prizes make for a whole day of friendly competition and fun.

  • September - Labor Day Tourney (and annual meeting)

Southeast Kansas Senior Men's Golf Association

SEK Senior Men's Golf Association is for men 50 and over. Fees at each course include golfing, carts, drinks and lunch. A golfer needs to contact the course they want to play at least a week if not more before the tournament date.  Season schedule to be posted at a later date.  Please contact Stan Luke or Randy Baldwin for more info.
